Restaurant Experience and Innovation

Reports to CEO / Operator

Overview: As a member of the executive team, provides indirect and direct leadership over the processes and systems required to achieve success in these critical operational areas. The successful REI candidate champions these areas through intentional focus, coordination of training, of operational support in order to consistently achieve chain average or better results with the goal of becoming, and remaining, best-in-class and an example of other Chick-fil-As. The successful candidate is responsible for overall performance of these critical areas of Chick-fil-A Killeen Operations:

  1. Food Safety: Ensuring top-grade (90%+) on all food safety audits by
    1. Safe Daily Critical Evaluations:
      1. Ensuring Safe Daily Critical Evaluations have been completed
        1. 2 Per Day (1 per major daypart)
        2. Minimum 10 per week
      2. Results of Safe Daily Critical Evaluations are communicated and addressed
      3. Appropriate training / repairs conducted
    2. Restaurant Quality Assessment (RQA):
      1. Ensure eRQA are done daily across multiple day parts
        1. 1 Per Day
        2. Minimum of 5 per week, 6 if catering not available / required
      2. Evaluate eRQA results and communicate results
      3. Appropriate training / repairs are conducted
  2. Restaurant Experience: Assist in holding Front of House and Back of House accountable for:
    1. Cleanliness
    2. Operational condition
      1. Equipment in good working order
      2. Presentation is professional in appearance
        1. People
        2. Fixtures
        3. Store
    3. Feedback collected and provided.
      1. JOLT / Systems expert
        1. Ensure appropriate JOLT tools are developed and in place to support operations
        2. Ensure tools are used daily
        3. Provide leadership results
          1. Distribute reports
          2. Distribute scorecards
          3. Provide training as needed
  3. Restaurant Innovation: assist Front of House and Back of House with identifying operational chokepoints and areas of opportunity to ensure efficiency and accuracy of operation while growing sales.
  4. Financial Return:
    1. Monitor and provide scorecards for:
      1. Labor budget
      2. Overtime hours
      3. Training budget
    2. Assist BOH on LEAN and AHA strategies to minimize food cost
