Front Counter Team Member

Job Description

At Chick-fil-A, the team member role is more than just a job, it’s an opportunity. In addition to working directly for an independent Operator, team members gain life experience that goes far beyond serving a great product in a friendly environment. Team members are responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience for everyone they serve each day. We want to ensure all guests receive signature Chick-fil-A service and food.

Roles and responsibilities:

Engagement with the guests is your most important task.  Getting to know guests names and personal information will continue to bring them back.
Good listening skills will help the whole team serve the correct food to the correct people.  It starts with you
as you continue to develop skills your speed needs to increase as well.  Order taking should take less than a minute.  
teamwork is a key to success as everyone must do their part.  Complete the guests order before focusing on drinks and desserts will allow your back of house team to get the food ready in under 2 minutes.

Good communication to the guest will inform them of what they need to do next
cleanliness of your area will need to be a minute by minute assessment.  If something drops pick it up remember to be coachable! The front counter role can be challenging as you have to always be “on” in front of all guests.  It is important to not let outside influences bring down your attitude.  You leadership will help encourage you. It is our pleasure to serve our guests, do what you can to make their experience great create memorable moments!

  • Take orders on registers, providing correct change to customers

  • Keep all condiments, cups, drinks, dessert, and other stations stocked

  • Certified on appropriate front counter jobs through pathways
  • 100% completion of additional duties with excellence
