Marketing Director

Department: Marketing
Location: Killeen, TX

Job Description:

The Sales and Brand Growth Director exists to directly affect the growth and success of the restaurant by creating emotional connections, growing sales, and increasing community influence.

Characteristics:

  • Proven track record of success
  • Ability to delegate and communicate clearly
  • Available for all special events, including Saturdays
  • Good moral character in the restaurant and community
  • Trustworthy with all aspects of finances and inventory
  • Willing to perform the job they ask others to do
  • Put the interest of the restaurant and team above personal interests
  • In good standing with leadership, peers, and team members
  • Ability to relate well with others in the restaurant and particularly the community
  • Energetic and able to inspire team members for special events, sales goals, and promotions
  • Have an infectious “can do” attitude which influences results

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create a yearly, quarterly, and monthly marketing plan
  • Prioritize time and budget in the following order and categories:
  1. Food – Lead with real food then coupons when necessary
  2. Cow – Chick-fil-A celebrity
  3. People – Facilitate the creation of “REMARK”able experiences in our restaurant
  4. Influence – Impact the community through events both inside and outside the restaurant
  • Stewardship of the marketing budget
  • Take full responsibility for putting the marketing plan into action which will include the following, and more:
  1. Create or purchase all marketing materials, coupons, bag stuffers, catering brochures, nutrition guides, etc.
  2. Sampling schedule, food distribution, blitzing
  3. Create outside sales opportunities with schools and pharmaceutical reps
  4. Find and train team members to be the cow
  5. Decorate the restaurant throughout the year, maintain the bulletin boards, and update POP
  6. Run at least one emotional connections night each quarter (i.e. Valentine’s dinner, Father-Son Campout, Daddy Daughter Date Night, etc.)
  7. Fundraisers, donation requests and spirit weeks
  8. Concessions and third-party sales
  • Update and keep website current
  • Utilize social networks and email for marketing needs
  • Order quarterly national campaigns options from Chick-fil-A

How you know you are successful

  • Sales meet goal set by Operator
  • ECM score is in top 20% of chain
